Call for volunteers

Highland Titles seeks volunteers with “get up and go” to start the planting of the Diamond Jubilee Wood.

If you’re passionate about trees and woodland – or Scotland – then please sign up for one or more of our tree planting days.

These will be scheduled for 2012/13. Please wait for dates to be published here.

Donald Heath, the Scottish Woodland Alliance’s Advice and Partnerships Manager, says:
“We had a great turn out during the 2011/2012 season and were particularly pleased to receive support from local schoolchildren. Children are our future and to help mould young minds is a pleasure and a privilege.”

Volunteers must be able to visit Keil Hill on the day they select. Citylink provide an infrequent but otherwise excellent service to Duror. When you arrive, you will receive a general induction from the volunteer team leader plus any planting equipment that you require. Please arrive wearing outdoor clothing, remembering that spring in the western highlands is a damp and often cold place. Even if the day looks set fair, the weather can quickly change.
